ABILITY PERMISSIONS

Quintessa has a number of powerful abilities that have been nerfed for RP. All of the listed abilities are OPT-IN — none of them will be used in a thread without player permission. Please use this post to opt-in to any you'd be up for plotting with, or hit me up in the game discord or at sojourney

Extradimensional Knowledge

Since Bayverse is unclear as to whether Quintessa is actually a goddess-level being of some kind or just a space witch masquerading as one, she may reveal that she knows characters' names, origins, or traits without IC explanation. (Similar in line with how the Primes are depicted in other continuities — looking at you, Maccadam!) Please let me know if you're fine with me wiki-diving some random facts she can use to try and manipulate your character with, or if there's anything in particular you DON'T want to come up in this manner.

Energy Manipulation

The energy acts like electricity, but also seems to have a biological component when it comes to Cybertronians in that it interrupts their movements and functions. (She drives Optimus to his knees on the first use of it, and then later continually shocks him with it.) Presumably it is also not terribly healthy for her to shock an organic with either. Opt-in player choice as to how severely, if at all, these energy bursts may affect a character.

Telekinesis

Quintessa is able to control large constructs made of metal, summoning up chains to restrain her opponent and move him throughout the area. She also uses this ability to levitate herself, and can push/pull/move objects and people. Player choice how effectively this impacts their character.

Hypnosis/Mind Control

She can overpower another's mind and instill her commands on their psyche. This does seem to have a physical component since OP's compulsion to obey her seems to stem from where she initially struck his face. For RP setting, no control will be imparted without explicit pre-planning with the other player(s). As an optional plot element, being in her presence can produce a low level of suggestibility that gradually increases with repeated exposure.

Transfiguration

Her ability to rewrite a mech's frame, causing them to undergo changes, upgrades, or healing with her power. Pre-plotted effect only, not applicable through incidental interactions with her.

Disguise

Her human disguise appears to have varying levels of "completeness", in that sometimes she glows. At other player discretion whether they can detect non-human attributes about her.

CONTINUITY NOTES

I draw inspiration from various Transformers continuities when playing this character. Aligned and IDW2005 have a heavy influence on how I portray Cybertronian concepts, culture, terminology and some aspects of their history, and G1/DW to a lesser degree.

If non-adherence to canon purity/mixing of continuity traits concerns or upsets you, please let me know on this post so I can either restrict how much of this arises during threading, or we can ascertain how to keep our characters' interactions to a minimum.

Personality:
• some kind of space witch slash actual goddess
• calls herself the "Prime of Life" and the creator of the Cybertronian race
• once has 12 guardian knights who betrayed her and took her staff of power
• completely believes it's her divine right to control/command all Cybertronians
• usually acts all queenly and serene except when she gets pissed off, then she's a viper
• wants to destroy Unicron (Earth) in order to revive Cybertron (seems genuine in this desire??)
• is definitely "ends justify means" and manipulates/works with anyone she can for her goals

Abilities:
• Energy Manipulation - She can summon bursts of energy which are strong enough to inhibit Cybertronians' movements
• Telekinesis - She can control objects around her, particularly metal ones (uses this to shape chains and bind OP) and also can levitate/fly
• Hypnosis/Control - She can bewitch others to follow her commands; being in her presence produces a low level of suggestibility that gradually increases with repeated exposure
• Transfiguration - She can rewrite a mech's frame, causing them to undergo changes, upgrades, or healing with her power
• Disguise - She can camouflage her physical form to look human (mostly) - similar in function to a mech's holoform, except not remote
